I discovered this recipe 20+ years ago when I was able to find these Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers in most stores. IF these chocolate wafer cookies were available in most grocery stores today, I would be making this cake for everybody’s birthday… But nooo! I have had to resort to finding the recipe online for the chocolate wafer cookies in order to make this wonderful cake. The recipe requires some ingredients (Black cocoa powder) that I had to find online and my cookies, although delicious, were just not the right texture for the whip cream cake recipe. WHERE CAN I FIND THOSE COOKIES!?! In Chicago??
